An Alphabet Kit for Early Learners can give kids a boost in playful learning of the foundation of reading and writing. Some good ways to get kids to learn the alphabet is to have them sing the song and write out the letters. Tracing works well to hone those fine motor skills as well as get some muscle memory for the shape of the letter as kids advance.

To use this alphabet kit, have your child say the letter. Then say the name of the object that is associated with the letter. Ask them what other objects, family members or favorite toys start with the letter. Have them color in the objects with the correct corresponding letter.

They can also work on numbers and write down how many objects there are that they colored in. Begin by writing the number one on the first object and going forward from there. Each page has a different amount of objects or animals that correspond with the alphabet letter.

Trace the capital letter followed by the lower case. You can do one page a day or a few, depending on your child’s interest. Young kids learn best when they are engaged and having fun.

My kids ask a lot of questions so I gathered some fun facts I had to track down to appease them (some would say it was a stalling method), in our alphabet learning days. So, have some fun!

All alphabets around the world stem from one alphabet, the Phoenician, such as our Latin alphabet and the Hebrew alphabet, the Arabic alphabet, the Korean alphabet, all Indian alphabets and basically every alphabet around the world. The Phoenician alphabet is the starting point for most alphabets. The Russian alphabet comes from the Greek modified alphabet. The Hebrew and Arabic alphabets are modified from the Phoenicians.
