These Christmas cake pops are one of my favorite new holiday recipes because it’s EASY and they look HARD! Seriously, they look a little dainty and sweet and they are deliciously sweet and tasty! These oreo cream cheese Christmas ornaments also look like they took HOURS to make. Nah. They also have my favorite features of holiday sweets, crunchy, chewy and pretty.
They take some time to assemble, so it’s a great way to get kids in the kitchen and make some memories along with treats that are so pretty they can easily be given as gifts to friends and family. We make cake pops dough with water and leftover cake (get one from the clearance section of the grocery store!).
In the mood for more recipes? The Rainbow cheesecake bars can be made into holiday-themed with red, green and white or blue and white coloring.

Equipment
Toothpicks
Food processor or hand mixer
Small Cookie Scoop
Parchment lined baking sheet
Microwave Safe Bowl
Ingredients
Twizzlers Pull N Peel
Mini Peanut butter cups
2 cups White or Colored Candy Wafers
1 14.3 oz pack of Oreos (check to see if you can get them free on Ibotta!)
8 oz cream cheese
Holiday Sprinkles, optional (unless you’re in our house at the holidays, in which case everything is doused in sprinkles, no exceptions)
Directions
I’m going to break this into steps so it’s easier to read and complete:

- Split the Twizzlers into 1-inch pieces.
- Crush 10 Oreos.
- Add in cream cheese and mix until incorporated.
- Scoop out balls of filling.
- Freeze 20 minutes.

While the Oreo and cream cheese balls are firming up, gather your toothpicks and unwrapped peanut butter cups. Melt white candy melts or almond bark according to the package instructions. Stir and make sure chocolate is smooth, if not add 1 tsp of coconut or vegetable oil at a time until it’s smooth (but not runny).
Remove the Oreo balls from the freezer. Dip ONLY the ball part into the chocolate. Add sprinkles if using. Press wide holes in the BOTTOM of the peanut butter cup with toothpicks (or a skewer) and place a Twizzler piece doubled in half into the hole. Nudge the Twizzler end pieces into the peanut butter cup. Once they are a good1/4 inch in, push the toothpick through to connect it to the Oreo ball. Now place the toothpick over the center of the white chocolate-covered Oreo ball to complete the ornament.

This is made with cream cheese so it will spoil if you leave it out more than 4 hours. Be sure to serve chilled.
